The Master System and the Genesis/Mega Drive are the only two notable retro consoles from the late 80s-2000s that I never tried out. And unlike with the dozens of Genesis collections, I haven't really sampled it's library beyond the first Phantasy Star.

Mr. L is just like me (hates high quality textures)
In Super Paper Mario, Mr. L is actually much smaller than Mario and Luigi, and gets scaled up at runtime. The game was originally developed for the GameCube before moving to Wii; Mario and Luigi received new Wii graphics while Mr. L was stuck with small GameCube textures.
