If we can only have art from people who "aren't in it for the money" that means we can only have art from privileged middle-class dilettantes. Making art being a viable career is responsible for nearly all worthwhile art, and if it's not a viable career any more we will get drastically less of it.

Steam and Epic can refuse any game depicting necrophilia, slavery, or sexual violence. It violates their policies. No one can "force" them to distribute this. The studio can distribute themselves. No one is stopping them.

I know part of white privilege is that I get to be shocked at racism, but this one still slapped me right across the face. Like if finding out POC call older relations “aunty/uncle” was this upsetting, I hope they’re sitting down when they find out you can use “aunty” for a non-related family friend
