My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

For the record, the pace at which solar panels and batteries are getting manufactured right now is why I'm generally skeptical of folks who wish we'd be doing nuclear "instead."
Lots of great arguments for nuclear, but many who make them don't look at what's happening at this very moment.
