Officials are considering a 6am-6pm curfew for the Palisades and Eaton fires in California.
They're also telling people to stop using leaf blowers to try to put out a fire because it spreads the fire instead of putting it out. Incredible that even needs to be said.

One enraging reaction to the LA fires I'm seeing is: All artists are rich/being an artist isn't a real job/they should have planned better/I'll reserve my sympathy for others. If you are doing this kind of sorting, no matter where on the political spectrum you are, please know that you are awful.

In the ttRPG industry, you can find both employees who think the very games that cover their paycheck are "dumb," and CEOs who will move a meeting out of the executive boardroom so you can play a game there.
Thankfully, I've met many more of the latter than the former.

i don’t think it’s queer peoples fault for not supporting corporations and capitalism enough that’s leading to this shift. i think it has more to do with the continued decades long project from the right to demonize queer people from public life
