if the united states ever has even a hope of recovering we have to destroy the idea of american individualism. "they don't owe you anything" we owe each other everything actually

These aren’t some stupid decisions.. this regime learned that they could get filthy rich during Covid when all systems of government support were at a standstill and know what they are doing. Gut all programs, pay workers close to nothing, usurp, & make money from the downfall. What’s not clicking?

as LA is burning, a swath of the country is recovering from an ice storm, Alabama is preparing for up to 6” of snow and I’m praying for the TX power grid, a reminder:

we don’t need climate action just for future generations, we need it now.

the climate crisis is here, all around us

We’re getting a horrific glimpse at the possible future. Widespread, cataclysmic climate change tragedies made worse by austerity and blamed on minorities by the Right, who will use their power to enable the wealth class as they continue to profit

It doesn’t have to be this way. We can change this.

we are in this delicate dance, where communities must figure out how to survive the present climate hazards while still dreaming up and fighting for a better future… not easy, but trying not to lose hope on days like today.

The LA fires are a profound example of what climate scientists have been struggling to prevent for decades.

I hope everyone remembers that oil and gas companies, with full knowledge, created this future, in exchange for their windfall profits and geopolitical power.
