I don't love that the future of this country hinges on a large enough majority of the population both realizing and recognizing that these chucklefucks get riled up over the dumbest stuff they've read online somewhere... but that does seem to be where we're at.

IMO it's bad that people in the top echelons of government and business think ethics and integrity are Cringe and Woke because they're too dumb to understand why these things are important for political and economic stability- such stability itself perhaps a concept they're too dumb to care about

I will never understand why they replaced community submitted subtitles for this nonsense
Real human people were happy and willing to make subtitles in a variety of languages for free, and the creator had full control of what submissions were used

The video is an interview and it's... not even watchable now. Like the auto-dubbing is just saying random nonsensical words. 😭

This, combined with "vice signaling" (taking pride in antisocial behavior) has given us the reign of the Stupid Asshole, something most people are against, but can only be remedied if we're not too polite to talk about it
An essential development over the past decade-plus is that the ignorant went from feeling chastened when their ignorance was revealed to banding together and deciding that, actually, they were right. They might disagree at times, but they agreed that ignorance itself was an indicator of trust.

I understand the sentiment behind it but too many of y’all seemed way too eager to make clanker jokes in a way that seemed less about being anti AI and more about wanting to make jokes where the punchline is “this sounds like real slurs but about a fake thing” or “haha, it’s like old timey racism”
