And this IS why you shut down the government, it's worth fighting for, Dems should stand behind that, own it.
The Republican One Big Ugly Bill cut $186 billion from SNAP.

That’s the largest cut to nutritional assistance in American history.

And now the extremists want to force millions more to go hungry.

Enough.

NOT ENOUGH is being made of the violent misogyny of the disappearing of the East Wing.
@19thnews.org
First ladies made history in the East Wing. It was razed for Trump’s ballroom.
The East Wing is home to the Office of the First Lady and has played a key role in women’s visibility in the White House.

As journalism as a career evolves, there are so many paths, as I have pointed out in my Substack column "Journalists, where are they now" -- Bob Cohn's is a great story of building on journalism for a great career on the business side.

Or inept. But probably they just thought no one would notice the math isn’t about tariffs.
Wow. Just wow. How Trump set the tariff rates. This is blithering, staggering, mind-boggling, jaw-cracking, gums-bleeding stupidity.

A reminder to reporters: Because Trump tariff numbers are made-up nonsense, using the phrase “reciprocal tariffs” is lying to your audience. The phrase itself is propaganda. They are not reciprocal.

Schumer & Jeffries should resign from leadership, they are not equipped to lead the opposition party against an authorarian regime.

For second time, Trump violates the law to help Putin, this time in bid to end democracy.

Many a woman will recognize this tone in the petty messages they get from exes trying to "catch" them or "punish" them for not being duly submissive in all interactions.
The Trump DOJ is big mad about their finest legal minds being humiliated in court

Bad headline from Reuters and too many others. Vance was gaslighting the free world into rolling back regulations so that his puppetmasters Thiel and Musk have an easier time highjacking elections with their allies in Russia www.reuters.com/world/europe...

I use 5 Calls, super easy, no excuses. Inundating politicians with calls from constituents lets them know which issues to fight for in order to keep their jobs.
We're getting more calls now than at any time since I've been in Congress. I'm helping out on the phones, talking to constituents about what I'm doing to stand up for the country and federal workers under attack by Trump and Elon Musk.

I welcome your calls, I am listening, and your voice matters.

One thing Democratic leadership could do right now is to name an alternate HHS secretary--someone to provide ongoing public updates and health information. And do it for other departments too. Start showing voters what a Democratic government would look like--press conferences, speeches, all of it.
