Durbin & Shaheen are retiring. Hassan, Fetterman & Cortez Masto's terms don't expire 'til 2028. Kaine, Rosen & King's terms don't expire 'til 2030. Not one faces voters in 2026. I can't find the words. Why game the system against their own constituents? To what end? I'm so disillusioned and tired.

Can we please type AntiFa as Anti-Facist or AntiFa(cist) all the time? I want no confusion that it is anything other than an ethos rejecting fascism, racism, & authoritarianism. No faith it will change anything--but I want to see the haters at least have to admit out loud that they are ProFa(cist).

Status is unknown, but conservative, Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck at a university event in Utah. And it doesn't look good.

Before anybody else says what they're thinking, I think we should take a moment to let the victim give his opinion on this contested American crisis:

This is a really good [millennial-coded] explainer for non-Californians of who Gavin Newsom is to most of us. #California.

Our governor is like “if Regina George and Patrick Bateman from American Psycho had a baby.” And he DESPISES Republicans. 🤷🏽‍♂️

ICE raids tried to split LA apart, but might have made it stronger.

From coordinating wildfire relief to blocking ICE buses, community organizers say LA County residents keep proving that in a city of strangers, nobody fights alone.

Note: this is a blanket declaration with no specific mention of Los Angeles. It simply states the National Guard are now assisting and protecting ICE anywhere at the President discretion for 60 Days.

That’s a militarized state, my friends.
There is no bigger story right now than the White House asserting that California residents are in a state "of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States."

Military style ICE raids in our communities. David Huerta was beaten and dragged away.

Because he saw them and stood up for justice. Because he’s not afraid.

Neither are we.

If what’s happening in L.A. is an “insurrection,” then January 6 wasn’t a “tour” it was a full-blown terrorist attack. Say it with your chest.

When Huerta says “We are a power”

He means the farmworker, the janitor, the nurse, the home care provider. The workers.
And he’s right.

You can’t detain a movement.

I was safe in my little music bubble today, just puttering around the house, and then Night Rally by Elvis Costello showed up like, “Hope you’re ready to think about fascism!” Next thing I know, I’m belting it out like I’m leading the resistance—I might’ve hit repeat. Might do it for karaoke soon.

❗ALERT❗ There are 3 congressional seats up for election (FL-1, FL-6, NY-21), 2 with voting starting in 3 weeks (links below). Media has been strangely silent on this 🤔 Congress is 218 R, 215 D. If we pick up 3 seats, we gain control of the House. A major step towards stopping Trump’s agenda
