The anti-intellectualism is the point here. They openly admit to not taking higher education seriously, while then complaining that conservatives are supposedly discriminated against in higher education. No, it's not because of your views; it's because you're proud of not doing the reading.
Worth noting that the student admits that she just threw the thing together in 30 minutes without reading the paper she was supposed to be responding to.

One of the biggest drivers of high housing costs is that a small, highly motivated group of incumbent homeowners block new housing in their neighborhoods and almost no one is organized to push back.

Young people bear the brunt of that imbalance.
