The UN expert group reports that the UK Government denied medical care to the hunger strikers, used excessive physical restraint, denied them contact with family members, denied them legal counsel, and prevented independent medical oversight. UK Labour ministers refuse to speak with their families.

Only 5 Fianna Fáil TDs voted to restore the Health (Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy)(Amendment) Bill. 35 voted against.

As someone who has worked for charities, still volunteers with charities but also someone who worked on the 'other side' in a public body I agree with Anne-Marie. Charities are filling the gaps where LAs and Govt are failing to act.
Duty of Care is outsourced.
