on the desktop discord client it doesn’t take much dragging on the scrollbar until all the text is replaced by grey boxes and, like, HOW. I have gigabit internet and a CPU that is, right now, at 2% utilisation. what is so hard about quickly fetching some fucking text. maybe a dumb gif.

I worked in Silicon Valley during the Dot-Bomb collapse. I could drive 101 from San Jose to Palo Alto and only see 3 or 4 cars on the way. I know scores of families that were destroyed when their stock-option pay became worthless... but was still taxed at full value. Good times.

my take on fonts is that using either Times New Roman or Calibri as the official font for government documents is insane. you should have a government font that the government commissions and thus places in the public domain. it's like if every government memo was stamped with a Microsoft watermark.
