Congrats to Zohran Mamdani. Important lessons.

Focus on shifting economic power. Relentlessly. Have big ideas on how to do it.

Be joyful and authentic. Even if your ideas aren't considered "mainstream" by elites. The elites have little idea what's actually mainstream.
On Friday night, we walked the length of Manhattan, from Inwood Hill to Battery Park.

New Yorkers deserve a Mayor they can see, hear, even yell at. The city is in the streets.

Pretty much the same amount Republicans promise to “save” in this budget is what the IRS could have collected from tax cheats and wealthy/sophisticated filers WITHOUT RAISING A SINGLE TAX.

But instead somebody somewhere will lose out on healthcare. Stupid and cruel.

For Ithell Colquhoun, the world was alive. Energies, mythical forces, and solar alignments imbued landscapes with powers that wove together human beings, ecologies, and the cosmos. Her papers have recently been reunited, resulting in the largest-ever exhibition of her strange, experimental work.

One of the early outrages in the Red Scare was Truman’s EO asserting that “sympathetic association” with communist groups was grounds for being fired from a federal job.

That was bad enough, but now they’re saying alien residents can be deported for what they claim are their “expected beliefs”
Imagine trying to deport someone for their "expected beliefs"

The Trump administration, with Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency, has gutted a small federal agency that provides funding to libraries and museums nationwide.

This threatens student field trips, classes for seniors, and access to digital library services.

Andrew Cuomo literally architected GOP control of the state legislature. He is the definition of a DINO.

Do not rank Andrew Cuomo on your ballot.
Eric Adams got his corruption charges dropped. All it took was selling out New Yorkers to Donald Trump.

We’re all tired of this spineless, failed mayor, but remember: Andrew Cuomo is running for Adams' 2nd term.

Same donors. Same chaos. Just a new Trump ally in Gracie Mansion.

I responded to some questions posed by the editors of Mutt, a new publication. We desperately need new venues and voices for art writing right now, and we’ll need more people to support them, too.

This is one of the closest Nazi parallels the Trump White House has yet announced. I know because I actually saw a recreation of the original 1937 Nazi “Entartete Kunst” (Degenerate Art) exhibit at the Smithsonian in 1991. They assembled 200 of the original 650 works. It was a sight to behold.

Let’s not forget this!!!!
I haven't looked at the crosstabs of these polls for any insight, but Cuomo spent his first two terms empowering Republicans in the Senate so he could dominate all lawmaking in the state, holding back movement. He's back-tracked on every good policy win. He was awful during COVID.
