It's mind-boggling how many people STILL don't wear masks correctly, almost FOUR YEARS after COVID arrived. I saw at least four chin diapers at the grocery store this week.

every so often i see the word "ooey" and get mad because it doesn't mean anything. if it meant anything on its own it would mean "gooey" but it doesn't, it's used to modify gooey. nothing is ever ooey salty or ooey crunchy

I just saw a heartwarming bank commercial in which an earnest young man talks about how easy it was to get a personal loan.
To pay for his cancer treatment.

It's a stupid little annoyance, but I hate how, on my Mac, when Chrome is maximized, if I download a file the new download popup makes the window edge down a few pixels and I have to drag it back into place.

My sci-fi choose-your-own-adventure novel is up to 76,000 words in its first draft. 91 pages out of 159 (I had to add another one) are complete; 68 more to go. I still have two entire story arcs to write from scratch in addition to the three main ones I've been working on already.

I was planning, at 2:19, to say to everyone on the floor (I'm in the office today), "nobody panic; the Thing is about to happen." So of course the Thing happened at 2:18, preempting me.
I was psyching myself up for like fifteen minutes for that.

Wrote almost 8000 words this morning on my sci-fi choose-your-own-adventure book. Yes, some of them were copy-paste (that happens when you write CYOA) but they still count. 81 more "pages" to go and then I'm done.
