Apparently, I'm not as thin as I think I am.

Just heard an AI ethicist talk about how important it is that we say ‘MEN are using Grok to undress images of babies, children and women’ not ‘Grok is….’. Grok isn’t responsible for the action, the men enabling & using it for this repulsive purpose are. Small but important bit of linguistic accuracy

Something lovely for the weekend!

The Dorestad Brooch, c. AD 800.

This beautiful Carolingian brooch was found at the bottom of a well in the Netherlands in 1969!

A bit of serendipity this morning - didn’t feel safe going out in the car so went to the canal instead and saw this. My comedy moment for the year 🦢🤪

We have a magical green Tyrannosaurus rex growing in our woods. If I was rich, I would employ artists to build chicken wire frames in the shape of dinosaurs all over our farm for the Ivy to grow up. All I want is a dinosaur walk in the woods.

NEW: Organ tuners have been leaving temperature and humidity records in little-known books for decades. 🎹

They reveal how temperatures inside churches have changed over time due to climate change and increased heating.

A new scoop for The Reengineer!

Church organ tuning records mirror our warming climate
The records appear to reflect climate change, as well as the increased heating of churches in winter

I'm sharing this here, as I have on Facebook and Instagram, but there's no account on here to share from, and I just think this is wonderful.

A really good balance of design and implementation, and appears to achieve everything it set out to do, and it *SO* appeals to my inner 'work nerd'.
