The fact that in both 2019 and 2024, the winning party did so with a set of manifesto promises that could not be kept and dissolved upon contact with actual office is something that as an industry we should be much more bothered by than we are.

2) Actually review the impact of the motorway. And where land is no longer beautiful, free it up for development.

Because it includes places that are half-way between Heathrow and Gatwick. Vacant fields that would make great European headquarters for global companies.

The crucial bit of this tactical 'only Labour or Reform can win here' VI poll, though, is that Labour and Reform would be tied.

Not enough Lib Dem or Green voters are (right now) prepared to tactically vote for Labour to offset the number of Tories willing to tactically vote for Reform.

Badenoch is the most compelling of the current party leaders because of the gulf between who she believes herself to be (she visibly thinks she is a bold thinker) and the reality (incredibly lazy and partisan).

Materialists is *still* pulling in takings weeks & weeks after it's US & international releases

Audiences don't have cinema fatigue, they have sequel/franchise fatigue. Give them something original that won't have a sequel or start setting "homework" for a cinematic universe and they will come
And for me the real inflection point is Celine Song’s Materialists. Today became A24’s 3rd highest grossing movie ever nearing $100 million on a supposed budget of $20m & way less than Civil War’s marketing spend. This idea that ‘middle range’ movies are dead is bullshit!!! Celine keeps proving it.
