Charlie Kirk was a wildly influential bigot who spewed anti-trans, pro-gun rhetoric right up to the moment of his death. That doesn't justify his murder, but you can spare me the lionizing bullshit, Ezra.
This whole "violence has no place in American democracy" narrative that politicians have been robotically reciting after Charlie Kirk's death really pisses me off. Like, are we just lying now? Is that it? America is an absurdly violent country, and you can't just hopes and prayers that reality away.
