Successive governments have given billions in subsidies annually to shitcunts such as these, and they pay fuck all - if any - tax.
In other news, ordinary folk are being asked to donate to bushfire recovery to help fund the victims and survivors of the latest climate fuelled disaster. Seems fair.

Yes we are aware of what Premier Malinauskas said about Randa Abdel-Fattah today and no we don't think it's ok for a public official to talk about a private citizen in such terms.

I'm not a lawyer, but can an expert shed some light on Premier Malinauskas comments about
Randa Abdel Fattah in the video below? Seem defamatory.
For all the talk about combating hate speech ... these remarks sound hateful, grossly offensive and damaging .

Adelaide Writers Week is officially cancelled, with all remaining board members stepping down. This is a travesty. Not only did they refuse to reverse course and save the festival, they “apologised” to Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah… and then once again tried to justify their decision by citing Bondi.

If I had just destroyed one of the key cultural institutions in my state through defamatory and racist statements about an author, I would probably not make any more of those defamatory and racist statements.

But that's just me.

A whole bunch of artists and cultural workers have lost work because of the implosion of Adelaide Writers week — writers, producers, stage crew, front of house. None of this was their fault. Something for the Labor premier to think about

This debacle is getting worse, not better. The ABC has just confirmed that the Chair of the board, Tracy Whiting, has also stepped down, meaning half the board is now gone and there isn’t enough remaining to form a quorum. What a total disgrace.

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

The Adelaide Writers Festival now wrecked by the Adelaide Festival Board, half of which was appointed late last year: a marketing executive; a former politician; a local councillor/real estate agent; an airport manager; a lawyer; a media consultant; and a banker. Another public arts takeover fiasco.

Literally what is the point of these people?

‘Business acumen’, but then overreach their powers, go against governance principles and go over their CEOs/program directors, the second they think their personal prestige is threatened.

It’s a joke.

The monied board class proclaim they’re defenders of ‘good governance’ or ‘artistic freedom’.

They’ll literally barrel over and destroy all of that, so they don’t cop a scowl from an acquaintance at a dinner party.

They’ve hijacked our public institutions to make them their personal medallions.

So about that social media ban, @albomp.bsky.social. What is Australia doing to protect women and children from AI generated CSAM. You can ban a 14 year old from Social Media but the SM companies can turn that same 14 year old into porn.
Every day, thousands of women and children are victimized by people on X using the Grok chatbot to generate scantily clad and naked photos of them.

It’s time for governments to take action. Elon Musk’s X should have been banned long ago. They don’t have an excuse to delay any longer.

Adelaide’s board has just squandered millions of $ and months of work and countless opportunities for writers…
