Guess how many of those videos mentioned climate change? And how many mentioned chemtrails?

The same number. ONE. 😱
The most important thing you can do to fight climate change: talk about it
How do you talk to someone who doesn't believe in climate change? Not by rehashing the same data and facts we've been discussing for years, says climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe. In this inspiring, ...

NCAR is quite literally our global mothership.

Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources.

Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet.

Unbelievable.

ICYMI: Ever heard of a grätzloase? It means “neighbourhood oasis”– a miniature park replacing a parking space, aka parklets. With the blessing of city hall, more than 100 of them have sprung up across Vienna since 2015. And in theory, anyone in Vienna can build one.
‘Why would you take away a parking place?’: the city where anyone can build an urban oasis
Grätzloasen – low-cost, urban ‘parklets’ built by volunteers – are on the rise in Vienna as sceptics are being won over by the splash of welcome greenery and boost to community spirits

Today I brought a voice of dissent to the city budget vote. The residents of Somerset Ward are my boss: not the mayor and not other members of council. I know you want a city that works and that leaves no one behind. This budget missed the mark, so I voted against it. I will keep fighting for you.

This is my number one conflict on my commute home. The drivers slam on their brakes, they're irate, they swear and some of them get out of the car. But the fact of the matter is I was already in the intersection, that's why I was right in front of them when they turned. They just didn't look!
More than half of Toronto drivers in a Universtiy of Toronto study didn't look for people walking or on bikes before turning right. Study used eye-tracking tech.

Increasingly deadly vehicles, dumb laws, and irresponsible driving equal people being injured and killed.

Don’t forget, for many years #Uber insisted loudly that it would reduce traffic in cities. Instead, Uber drivers cruise without passengers 40% of the time. Uber and Lyft no longer claim they reduce traffic. They now admit they increase congestion.

So much for “making cities better…”

Seeing citizens kidnapped by government forces should drive people to take to the streets, but apparently, it is not enough.
Agents in Key Largo, Florida ripped this woman wearing medical scrubs out of her car as she screamed she is a US citizen. Agents cuffed her and put her in one of their cars.

She was eventually let go, per David Goodhue of the Miami Herald, who also took this footage:

A few important points here

- Generative AI supercharged data centre growth: lobbyist and substacker lines pretending like this is just streaming are false

- Even when you consider much of the projected growth is speculative, the *likely* projects are still MASSIVE

Community: Can we put in a protected bike lane to get more people cycling.

City: No, we'll lose parking spots.
