No we don't. I am a Democrat. I am a registered member of the Democratic Party in a 9:1 Democratic city in a 2:1 Democratic state. I want ICE abolished and all of its employees charged with the heinous crimes they have committed.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

I personally find the exclusion of the Acadians, Narragansett, and Mixtec from this map particularly egregious but maybe that's just me
The Utah Historical Society just produced a new, excellent map of "The Peoples of North America in 1776." Great resource for anyone teaching, writing, presenting about Native peoples as part of their 250th work. america250.utah.gov/power-of-pla...

A complaint on a local FB page where the 30kph zones are being discussed.

She so nearly got it.

"There are kids cyclists etc on every street. But making them all 30km is ridiculous!!"

The Maritimes were kinda boring in the 50s so we just kinda ignored the border till they tightened up at the end of the century
Genuinely curious: If your family is American, what brought them here?

In a break from rising American fascism, I bring you an update on #winterbiking from #RhodeIsland.

Today was my first day out biking in 5 days; when I set off to an appointment it was 33F/.5C, but on the way back it was 24F/-4.5C w/ a feels like of 19F/-7C.

Not bad when you have the right gear. /1

To the cranks & ignorant electeds who claim that #sneckdowns are evidence of nothing...check out this MASSIVE truck easily and carefully make this turn 4 days after 🌨️❄️ stopped. We could easily put 5-foot curb extensions/ #daylighting to make this street safer.… #Urbanism @thewaroncars.bsky.social

People say there has never been a truly perfect Star Wars experience and that's how you know they never played the Ladder Map in Jedi Outcast.

Yes, it is scored to Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up, and the song starts when you ignite your lightsaber and begin to move.

They keep adding more things as excuses not to plow. They could do half of the path and there'd be more snow for winter and the walkers and runners and cyclists could still use it, alongside the snow people.

One guess is maybe they just don't want to plow all 60+ miles
