It’s one thing to choose not to participate in the International Criminal Court. It’s entirely another for the U.S. to punish its judges like they are criminals.
The penalties effectively cut the judges off from all American funds, goods and credit cards, and prohibit individuals and business in the U.S. from working with them. “We’re treated like pariahs, we are on a list with terrorists and drug dealers,” Ms. Ibáñez said. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/10/w...

The transformation of ICE into a type of national police force, backed, in some cases, by soldiers from the National Guard, has been covered as immigration story—but these forces are reshaping democracy for all of us.

Trump Has Odd Views on Domestic Terrorism
The president seems to think that beating police officers is 'peaceful,' but attempting to flee from them is terrorism.

There is no appeasing a narcissist. Hard stop.
Many people (Machado, Rubio, European leaders, Graham, Zelenskyy) still think that praising and appeasing Trump will produce good outcomes. But the flattery strategy is not producing the results that they hope for. If I’m wrong, tell me of some examples. I have an open mind on this theory.
