This is the "SEA SHEEP" (Costasiella kuroshimae) & it took the old axiom: "you are what you eat" VERY literally.

It eats algae & rather than just digest them, it harvests the chloroplasts & becomes PHOTOSYNTHETIC. Solar slug!

Also, some of its cousins can rip their own heads off.

Please. My labubu is very sick.
It's the head of the Eraserhead Baby in place of a labubu doll's faceplate. The Eraserhead baby is disturbing. It kind of looks like a sheep fetus? But here it is, tucked in the furry little body of a bunny-like labubu. All these photos are in black & white, to be evocative of the Eraserhead movie.

A total of 11 in mages were focus stacked for this shot. Not seen in any of these shots is a fallen log that straddles the space between that brightly lit patch of moss and the scarlet Waxcap fungi. A closer shot but still a composite of 11 images. The dark red cap, with a lighter orange gill and stipe coloration make for striking subjects in a field of green moss. As soon as I spotted these I knew we would be spending some time together. Poor Winston was just waiting to hit the trail again...
