White folks on here…

What are you doing with all the extra time you have now that you don’t have to apologize for being white anymore.

James Talarico: The Bible doesn't mention abortion or gay marriage, but it goes on and on about forgiving debt, liberating the poor, and healing the sick. The closest thing we have to the kingdom of heaven is a multiracial, multicultural democracy where power is truly shared among all people

I'M A NEW VEGAN-ISH SORT! Where can I buy this brat please? Like I can google "where to buy veggie brats" but I want THAT one. 😩
Don't worry, that brat is mainly pea protein. #JadziaCooks

generational discourse can be solved once and for all by distinguishing between "remembers no computers", "remembers no personal computers", and "remembers no cell phones". everything before that fought in wars. everything after that is, best case scenario, inventing the borg
we really do exist.

If you like to read, can I PLEASE recommend these two books as strongly as possible stopping juuuust short of being weird? They're both so, so good. This author is absolutely one of my hero authors and I literally read everything she writes. You will 1000% be stoked with this purchase.
Getting a head start on my New Year’s resolution (read more books, sub-theme of “not by cishet dudes)

Good on Penn Jillette. Having to come to terms with your entire political identity and philosophy being wrong is not easy and most people could never do it.

Everything bends
if you ask it to--
the rule,
the reason,
the ruin,
the creature of hope
you have invited in,
it longs to stay,
to see what happens next,
beyond this gift
of what-if--
so, what do you say?

I'm so late but I'd love one.

So everything is terrible, etc., but sometimes we still get to do some fun things! Shout out to my buddy-without-equal @jeremyredleaf.bsky.social for this.

I read this in Werner Herzog's voice
Santa knows who is naughty and who is nice. He knew damn well that all of the other reindeer used to laugh and call Rudolph names. Yet Santa did nothing.

The real question is why Rudolph took a job working for a man who was complicit in Rudolph's childhood of torment.

Amanda I would like to hear more about the cranberry sauce please because I can't imagine it but I want to try.
Just had an intensely satisfying leftover turkey sandwich with horseradish cranberry sauce, mushroom brie, and toasty, crispy shredded brussels sprouts on sourdough. Few things beat a great sandwich. I would sell this in the imaginary sandwich shop I have.

If this isn't the most on the goddamn money thing I have ever read...😆
Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.
