Seit Beginn der „Waffenruhe“ in Gaza am 11.10 sind nach Angaben der örtlichen Gesundheitsbehörde 401 Menschen durch isr. Militärgewalt getötet worden. Erst gestern wurde eine Hochzeitszeremonie in einem Schulgebäude von Panzern bombardiert. Diese Zahl umfasst nicht die Toten infolge der Blockade.

My university used to incessantly tell students that they weren't engaging sufficiently with "difficult" ideas (90% of those "difficult" ideas? That some of those students weren't human.). This year it got rid of student commencement speakers, lest those students raise a particular difficult idea.
There is a lot to contend with in this from @thrasherxy.bsky.social. I’m increasingly coming to this conclusion that schools aren’t capitulating, they are collaborating.

Bei der ZEIT fragt man sich, «warum die Linke den Siegeszug der Rechtspopulisten nicht aufhalten konnte». Vielleicht sollte man sich dort lieber fragen, was man bei der ZEIT gegen den Aufstieg eines Faschismus tun könnte, den ‹Rechtspopulismus› zu nennen inzwischen eine grobe Verharmlosung darstellt

Not every student will strike this bargain when offered. Probably not even that many conservative students. But given these incentive structures, why wouldn’t a non-negligible number of students take this opportunity when offered it? Which is why wealthy donors created it in the first place. (4/4)

The "Gaza ceasefire" is a period of reduced intensity in terms of Israeli attacks.
For the Israeli government this is merely a lull until the genocide can be resumed with full strength, with the aim of mass ethnic cleansing.
Any other plans would have to be imposed on Israel.
