Wenn die EU das jetzt nicht schafft, kann sie sich gleich selbst abschaffen. Wer nimmt uns dann noch ernst?
Gut, dass sich der Wiener Gemeinderat heute für Mercosur ausgesprochen hat. Freihandel bringt uns allen mehr Wohlstand. Es wäre für Europa so wichtig dieses Abkommen abzuschließen! Jetzt ist es höchst an der Zeit, dass auch Österreich die Position ändert und sich für das Abkommen einsetzt.

So, just to recap:
- Europe negotiates a weak transatlantic trade deal because "it depends on the US for its defense"

Dieses „Ich übernehme die Verantwortung” ist eine der meistgebrauchten leeren Worthülsen in Politik und Wirtschaft. Man könnte gleich sagen „das ist mir völlig Powidl”. Konsequenzen gibt es sowieso nicht.

Es ist eh schon alles egal, warum nicht.

I'm wondering if part of this couldn't also be environmental groups. Cheap way to disrupt air traffic, and if this continues over a longer period, more people might shy away from flying due to unforseeable hassles.
