The way the mainstream media cleans up Trump’s racist tirades has long passed the “they’re just making mistakes” phase. This is actively aiding and abetting a racist, tyrannical regime. The ‘mainstream media is the enemy.

And this is why Confederate iconography is so prominent within the conservative movement.
Whether it's ogres roaming the halls of Congress with a VA battle flag on Jan6, protecting monuments to yt supremacy, or insisting on re-re-naming US military bases to honor CSA traitors to the United States.
While the outcome should be clear from the plain text of the Constitution, the central project of this court and Administration, together, is to nullify the reconstruction amendments
The Supreme Court Friday agreed to decide whether President Donald Trump can unilaterally limit the constitutional right to citizenship granted to virtually every person born in the United States. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

1% real wage growth in the last year is absolute chump change when, over the last 10yrs, things like rent (>100%⬆️) and out-of-pocket health care expenses (>100%⬆️) have skyrocketed.
1% isn't making up for the crushing of the middle class.
And none of Trump's policies have made life cheaper.
I really wish people would reflect on this: how numbers that UNAMBIGUOUSLY AND DIRECTLY INDICATE THAT THINGS ARE GROWING MORE AFFORDABLE are being interpreted as evidence of an “affordability crisis,” BY EXPERTS, because that’s the narrative. Understanding that that can happen explains so much else

Lesson 4: If you are peddling the "trust in govt" has dropped because of proceduralism, you either don't understand the study of trust or don't care. It has dropped in all countries and all institutions over the same time period. It is mostly driven by perception of politics not govt services.

Something I can't stop thinking about is this:
Who in Democratic Party leadership understood how pervasive Trump's presence in the Epstein files was and when? (2019? 2020?)
Why wasn't this used to bury him in either 2020 or 2024?
Did they demure because it was unseemly? Protecting other Dems?
“To believe anything about Epstein coming from Trump and his cronies requires a complete suspension of common sense, which is why it’s good to remember that the simplest explanation is often the correct one: they’re lying.” — @justinglawe.bsky.social

Biden thought he could “heal the soul of the nation” and bring us all together. As optimistic as that idea was, it was wrong.

We won’t move forward by unifying. We’ll move forward by trying the corrupt fascists and showing the law *will* be enforced.
