In particular, this is because intimidation from Russia and provocations in Europe have had an effect on Europeans.

We've been doing wastewater metagenomics for 2 years.

In the first 20 months we never detected measles once.

However, in the last 4 months we've detected it 10 times across numerous states.

It's going endemic again; good reason to get vaccinated.

The Epstein files. We know the DOJ has spent between $750k - $1m on FBI agents working on redactions. So the Friday deadline is 'merely' another chapter, the fight will go on. But it will rekindle the scandal. Remember, Watergate dragged on for 2 years with a drip & chip of disclosures.

This really is, as Sara says, INSANE memory-holing: Minutes after FCC Chairman Carr told Congress that the FCC "is not" an independent agency (see video below via @atrupar.com), the FCC website started getting scrubbed to remove that description.

I am convinced in the future we will look back and realise the sheer unimaginable folly of letting a virus that can cause immune dysregulation and cognitive dysfunction in humans infect and re-infect the global population over and over again. Worse still, that we encouraged it.

I’ll just note that this in no way reflects public opinion, which is massively against this barbaric relic gifted to us by our colonisers, nor I suspect the opinion of the TDs if they were being honest with themselves.

And already Russia is bombarding us with hybrid attacks every day, with drone overflights, assassinations, sabotage, espionage, cyberattacks, and targeted disinformation campaigns.

"Our investigation also developed powerful evidence that showed President Trump willfully retained highly classified documents after he left office in January 2021 ... He then repeatedly tried to obstruct justice to conceal his continued retention of those documents."

Jack Smith, in his opening statement to House Judiciary, says:

"Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and to prevent the lawful transfer of power."

The president's creepy obsession with me is deeply unhealthy.

Trump falls back on the same tired bigotry to distract from his obvious failures.

His recycled xenophobia won’t intimidate me or silence my fight for the people of Minnesota’s 5th District.

Musk — who threatened to launch a third party and support challengers to Republican incumbents during his dispute with Trump earlier this year — is now firmly back in the GOP's camp.

I'm not crying wolf btw.
The argument made by O'Callaghan about "social cohesion" was also made back in 2011 by neo-Nazi Anders Behring Breivik on page 754 of the manifesto he published before murdering 77 people.
It presumably now forms at least part of Fianna Fáil's stance on immigration.

O'Callaghan and Fianna Fáil are aligning themselves with the absolute worst people and politics in Europe, and journalists need to start asking them about it.
To date, I have seen little evidence that Irish media is prepared to meet this moment, and I fear the worst.
