Fun fact, this is also similar to what trilobite tracks looked like and i have found some fossilized in devonian era sandstone from a creek in the appalachian plateau part of ohio

Went down to the local patch today but there was nothing doing. The local great blue heron was perched in a distant tree, the pine warblers were absent, and the mergansers refused to leave the far corner of the lake
But back home there was a bona fide rager at the feeder
