American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Wolf outlined some of the most egregious excesses of the current administration. It was a little jarring to see it all laid out so plainly. But what he’s chosen to do about it makes me feel a little hopeful. (Imagine that!)
BREAKING: Mark Wolf, appointed to the federal bench by Ronald Reagan, writes that he is resigning as a judge to have the freedom to speak out against the president's assault on the rule of law.

You can also call the main switchboard: (202) 224 3121.

Tell them that, after this past Tuesday’s resounding rebuke, giving in now is counterproductive. And that you’re ready to choose representatives whose moral clarity rises up to the challenge of the moment.
Oh for the love of

Sharing, since I just googled these so I could leave angry voicemails telling these motherfuckers to hold the line

Schumer's DC office number: 202-224-6542

Gillibrand's DC office number: (202) 224-4451
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

This is the fastest possible way to destroy any Democratic Party momentum from last week’s elections.

Just utter incompetence to cave at this point.

Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer should resign their leadership positions as soon as possible.

Their failure to so much as endorse Mamdani laid bare layers of incompetence. They are why Democrats have completely failed to combat Trump. The sooner they are replaced, the better.

If only Vinay Prasad had stayed gone. Since his return, he turned a previously standard-setting agency into a hot mess, complete with backstabbing, interoffice warfare, secrecy, & despotic management.

He thinks he's a big deal, but he is a small man.

The most popular candidate is a socialist in a time where fascism is sweeping the nation. He represents politics and policies that have felt completely impossible. And his wild popularity has inspired the country and created hope where none existed. That’s why.
Does the mayor of New York have access to nuclear weapons or something? Is there no council or anything to restrain them if they decide to go to war with Boston? Other than that or them gaining the keys to the portal to Hell via election, I'm not sure why this election is constantly everywhere.

A 14-word replacement for most op-eds, substacks, etc about this moment.

The GOP could stop ALL of this, right now—if a handful of Sens or Reps could step outside the cult.

It would take four in the Senate, four (maybe five) in the House, to change history.

Until then, they're all to blame.
