Exactly, it looks dire but individual states still have a lot of power. Also I don’t think his corporate handlers will allow this because it’d basically stop Wall Street. My guess he and his handlers are thinking of some sort of soft version of the Insurrection Act.

Do not comply in advance. This is the goal of these threats: Demoralize and weaken the Democratic turnout at the midterms. Show up, vote, campaign, connect with your community. The engine of democracy is not so easily taken offline by a whiny orange dictator on social media.

Reminder: the Insurrection Act has no actual power to cancel midterms. Republicans are already in the middle of raising for campaigns and nothing is going to derail the huge job of 50+ positions all leaving various Congressional positions for state elected jobs.
