We're still failing an open book test, I see, because how is there a German movie about performers (a number of whom were Jewish) in the 1930s and we're just not talking about it
This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

I'm going to need you all to look up "food noise" and the miserable experience of living in a body that doesn't work.

You all cast fat people as a social examples, instead of humans. We're either your bad example or your body acceptance movement, but never a person with privacy and agency.
not a knock on anyone using these drugs, which are medically fascinating and really show how much control hormones have over our health and happiness! I just wish certain people could overlook their prejudices and connect the dots

Ya know, it's really hard to believe anything good can ever happen again. As a kid, the ozone was gone, then we watched the towers fall, then we were plunged into forever war, and when we finally elected Obama, legacy news got so mad at this "new voting bloc" that they burned down the country.
I was not expecting a guilty verdict. I hope Judge Dugan is successful on appeal. I’m concerned about this emboldening this lawless administration.

Important PSA: I hope you never see other artists as competition. Please take their success as proof that you can also succeed here.

This poll dropping 24 hours after so many people freaked out at Jamelle for saying that front-facing social media was the best way to reach persuadable citizens is pretty funny

Also, lol Twitter
Teens turn to a variety of online platforms, but YouTube continues to stand out. Roughly nine-in-ten teens report ever using it. TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat are the next most widely used platforms.

So many people say "but I prefer text-based formats" when stuff like this comes up, hoping to be the exception to the rule, but their browsing habits don't reflect that. Blah blah bots, but all the metrics suggest that you spend far more time and energy interacting with these visual platforms.
i have said this before but if you are actually interested in influencing people beyond a narrow circle of too-online journalists you will be making direct to camera videos on tiktok, instagram and youtube. if you primarily post on text-based social media then you're just dicking around.

What a friendly thing to say. Very generous to of you to think of us during our most recent mass shooting and share news of your better one. Thanks for this friendly message, friend. I don’t think any of us were aware there could be such laws or indeed a better way of living. Good lookin’ out
Just want to share with my American friends how the Australians respond to a shooting tragedy. Action, rather than thoughts and prayers.

"Boomer here. I need to make everything about me; I'm reactive and weirdly aggressive, while still maintaining that I'm somehow different from every other frothing, high strung moron."
Boomer here. We literally invented the internet.

I feel like there's a big difference b/w "politically engaged" and "watching the government like I'm an undersupported teacher for a classroom of 30 first graders who are geese or maybe in the raptor family," and--like--we've been in the latter category for like an untenable amount of time.

Instead of giving them the traffic, go help a struggling author or artist by doing literally anything: like a post, share it, comment. Anything.

You don't need to read it to dunk on them, but that artist lives and dies on a couple clicks.
I’ll save you a click:

The Atlantic is trending because they put out an article saying that it’s “anti-worker” to fire the white woman at Cinnabon who screamed slurs at Somali customers and yelled at them to “suck it”.

I might regret crossing streams (and I might end up deleting this), but if you're curious about how the professional writing stuff is going, I have separate accounts.
I know it's asking a lot, but a positive action readers can take is to interact with our stuff. Any of it. Right now (at this point in my career), it feels like single writers are called to be full media companies, and it's not our natural lane

I'm a one-on-one type. Daily life involves caretaking.
not sure how to square ‘no one person can be reasonably expected to pay for every media subscription’ with ‘sorely underpaid writers need to make a living’ but my inclination is not to locate that problem with any of the broke ass people on either end of the complaint

This is how I looked trying to do a pull up in middle school, when I was still growing into my body and my nervous system was working on catching up.
December 9, 2025 at 3:15 AM
I think a compilation of all these sweaty half pull-ups needs to be used as a campaign ad that never stops playing on local TV stations.
Yes the HHS Secretary just attempted and failed to do one complete pull up while rocking an untucked shirt and pit stains on TV, totally normal behavior for the HHS Secretary

When left to their own devices, they build religious practices around it...
Some days, AI feels like a penis.

1) Tech bros are proud of theirs.

2) It's been shoved everywhere.

3) No one demands it.

4) Completely useless for most.

Back in my day, we'd call this a head canon, and you'd write a fan fiction about it
How about you just watch the tv show like a normal person?
