Six years ago, I wrote most of the Tragedian dialogue for Pathologic 2 in iambic pentameter. I'm back now doing the same for Pathologic 3. I figured it was helpful to write a guide on *how* I did it – in case I get hit by a bus and the team has to carry on without me.

my printer refuses to change its default paper, no matter what I do, so every time I print something I have to hit the ok button like three times to tell it "yeah the wrong paper is loaded but use it anyway" on default letter paper. we've been cursed by god as a species

Makoto Yukimura was worried that Vinland Saga's farming arc and "I have no enemies" moment was a gamble that readers wouldn't like. I told him about the J. Cole meme from the Kendrick Lamar and Drake rap beef. This is how he reacted.

If “I have no enemies” has become a meme and people remember it, then maybe people will understand what I’m really trying to say through the story, which is that humans are immature, but we can mature. To become mature is to become kind. This is the foundation of what I’m trying to say, but it really has to be much shorter for people to remember. But it does give me hope that people remember these short phrases as memes. Then, one day, it will click in their mind what I was trying to really say in the first place.

i went through IT training a couple years ago and still the longest single part was on printers. humankind has not made printers that aren't evil and unknowable, and we never will

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

The firehose is public, any jackass with an AI to train already has access to every single image. This is intentional, same reason why your list of people you block is public, built right into the system.

It's the "we have no input" part that's the problem.

The thing with bluesky using AI to moderate images isn't that it's training on them, think for 10 fucking seconds about it, but that they are saying "yeah we outsourced that shit entirely, we got no control over it. It says label, we label" etc
