The Trump administration does not want any survivors of its boat attacks brought into the US legal system because their lawyers would demand information about the legal justification for the strikes.

So their only options are to send them back home or kill them.

it is actually kind of bananas how unitary executive theorists have taken a straightforward clause requiring the president to "faithfully execute the laws" and transformed it into a grant for the exercise of limitless unenumerated power.
The Take Care Clause was a byproduct of the lessons learned from the Glorious Revolution that the executive should not be able to dispense with the law promulgated by the legislature. It was not a constitutional provision to empower the executive branch— but to constrain it!

I think it’s understated how the legal community at large, save the sharpest partisans, have been alienated by this current SCOTUS majority.

It’s an anathema to what every attorney in the United States was taught about US law and procedure.
It is anathema to what all the judges and legal academics told us the American common law is supposed to be. It is a lie. We have a German civil law court now. No explanation, no deference to precedent, and no pretense that a decision extends beyond the particular case.

It makes me really sad that we have to just like, talk about our bodies all the time in the open like this — shout out to Danielle who is brave — because men won't read a book.
Let me just say: I have run more than a dozen marathons and an ultramarathon and I have worked 13-hour days in a cornfield in the scorching-ass sun, and none of those things broke me like breastfeeding.

It’s not a question of will. I am a determined person. Sometimes your body just WONT DO IT.
