Gen-X remainer. I post a lot about politics. I’d like a world where I could post more about Perl and programming, but it’s been a while since my anger at Brexit and this UK government has left space for that. #remain #european #fbpe
My GenX version of this is Bring back 56k dial up internet. Make it hard for people to use. Make the friends you made decent and long lasting because you had to work harder to be there. Text based bulletin boards without images, irc and news groups because you didn’t have the bandwidth.
I think my most millenial opinion is we need to bring back disc drives

Laughably evri came third.

In my experience there is DPD and Royal Mail, then there is the rest, then there is the bottom of the barrel, then there is 100 miles of the earths crust AND THEN there is evri.
Best and worst parcel delivery companies revealed
Royal Mail, Amazon, DPD, Evri and Yodel have been ranked in light of a report from Citizens Advice, which finds millions of people are experiencing problems with their parcel deliveries.

I once had a surgeon tell me to sleep when I'm tired- naps, going to bed early, sleeping in- because the body cannot heal without adequate rest and it still stands as the most stunning advice I've ever received.

We are told not to "indulge" when we're tired (even by doctors!) and it is SO HARMFUL
Because they are, to a person, freaks.
Why are there never return to nature people but for pre-industrial sleep cycles?

I can imagine that somewhere at cloudfare, there is a P1 incident call where a lot of people are having a really bad day.

I can’t imagine how stressful it is when some issue at your company takes out half the sodding internet.

If the libdems by some miracle find themselves in government, please one thing.

For godsake have a plan.
I've been out canvassing quite a lot in London lately. Labour's vote has absolutely evaporated.... it is quite extraordinary to go to places where Labour were on 50-60% of the vote at the last locals and find nobody, or virtually nobody, supporting them.

The phrase 'I voted Labour last time, but...

And in response to the bigot’s deleted post, no, we don’t spend billions on immigration. The opposite, we gain billions from it. And we’re losing billions by restricting it.

No one who supports Farage is ever going to vote Labour, and now no one who respects human rights and a humane immigration policy can vote for them either.

Who the fuck are they trying to appeal to?

And with that, the Corbyn dog was shot and buried.

Just stop over thinking it, make a movie, blow some baddies up, have bond get the girl, she dies and he makes the world right again with some pithy one liners.

The audience doesn’t give a shit, we just want Bond vs some twat that looks like Elon Musk
"They are now stuck trying to find a believable way to resurrect him, and it is proving almost impossible."

Easy. Make the next James Bond movie as normal, but there are zeppelins to signal that this is an Alternate Universe.

I’m really impressed to see the left just knuckle down in a time of crisis and concentrating on the real issues and not letting any of the old internal politics get in the way. The way they’ve sorted everything out so quickly… oh wait. W.T.F am I saying.
