Big hearing right now for the #FamilyZoningPlan at #SanFrancisco Supervisors Land Use and Transportation Committee. They could

a) send to the full board
b) make amendments and hear again in this committee
c) make substantive amendments and send back to Planning Commission
Look alive, the Board of Supervisors Land Use and Transportation committee has been called to order. Room 250 is already full for the Family Zoning Plan

BREAKING: The Governor signed our legislation to authorize a Bay Area regional funding ballot measure for transit.

SB 63 is critical to avoid massive service cuts at Muni, BART, Caltrain & other systems. We need to stabilize & modernize these systems for the Bay Area’s future.

Our democracy is under attack, and we have to fight back. With Trump and Republicans attempting to rig the 2026 elections, it's up to California to pass Prop 50 on Nov 4th

The law is still evolving on autonomous vehicles. Moving violations (red light running, illegal U-turns) cite the driver, but there's no one to cite for AVs. New California law will allow the state DMV to enforce starting next year. #autonomousVehicles apnews.com/article/waym...

It is unfortunate that Governor Gavin Newsom is reneging on a commitment to fund Bay Area transit until we can pass long-term solutions. Agencies including @sfmta.com have few options. There may be drastic cuts to service in 2026, right when voters will be asked to raise taxes for transit.
We’ve been informed by the Governor’s Department of Finance that it won’t agree before our legislative session ends (on Friday) to finalize a $750M bridge loan to Bay Area transit.

This loan was agreed to in our June budget. Without it, BART, Muni, et al will cut service.🧵

History judges leaders who fail to act in a crisis. When the nation's future is at stake, you must be willing to break norms to preserve it. This is our moment. Prop 50 is a necessary breach of protocol to save the union from those who would rig it into oblivion. Vote YES on prop 50!
