People need to understand that half of Trump’s vote is a middle finger to the failings of the opposition party. And part of dealing with those failures is having an honest conversation about where those weak points are. I don’t take anyone seriously who can’t see this. We don’t have time.

They’re good and fun but Khruangbin is the Jack Johnson of our era.

- “chill” music, great for the background
- safe for everyone

On top of our futures, hope and principles are on the chopping block. What happens to a populace that’s economically and culturally incentivized to abandon their sense of community to get by?

If they were doing this to a single bank they would be immediately arrested but the Treasury of the entire United States doesn’t even have a guard at the door?
3/ different pieces fit together. There also seems to be a significant amount of downloading government data onto private servers, etc, totally outside any cybersecurity regime. Additionally it’s unclear to the people inside whether the people doing these things actually work for the US govt…

I’ve gotten shit for saying this in the past, but the reigning conservative attitude is playground bully. Not just mean, but juvenile. Adults should be embarrassed to partake in it. And I think at least some of this behavior is influenced by internet culture, which is dominated by actual children.
