I’m so struck by this video. A regular day in Logan Square in front of a grocery store and ICE pulls up and tear gassed people. Funston Elementary School is right across the street as well. This is a major corridor in Logan Sq. No concern for human safety

What is the city government going to do to address the recent South Shore raid? Seems people were left with their apartments destroyed, items stolen, and potentially unhoused. Dozens others were taken into federal custody. Complete destabilization of our communities’ sense of peace and safety.

South Shore on Chicago’s South Side became a popular neighborhood for migrants arriving in Chicago over the last three years. This is due to the availability of affordable housing stock. Now we see it as another site of targeted ICE enforcement.
