A map of current snow build-up across Japan. I think does a great job of showing the incredible "yukiguni" lake effect Japan receives on its Sea of Japan/East Sea side. Some of the deepest snowdrifts in the world, with incredible amounts falling in 24 hours. Meanwhile, Tokyo is completely dry.
