Why would anyone want to visit the U.S. if this is what they will be subjected to?
Authoritarian police state stuff.
It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted

Every year I am especially thankful for the strangers who saved my sister's life on Nov. 26, 2002. As she reminds us, "Life is short, so enjoy your family, your friends, your work and play. Hug your kids, kiss your sweetheart, call your parents, send a card to a friend, make a difference."

I'm waiting until after Thanksgiving to put up my own decorations, but it's fun to see some early decor around town. This lobster trap tree is at Round Top Farm in Damariscotta.

We started watching "The Lowdown" last night. It made no sense at all. At the end of the episode we realized Hulu had started us on episode 8 instead of 1. Aaargh!

You know who the real freeloaders in this country are? Not people who rely on SNAP, but corporations whose business model depends on wages so low that taxpayers have to feed their workers.

Just this morning I have seen posts from a small restaurant chain and a farm stand offering free food to those who will not be getting their SNAP benefits. These businesses have more compassion than most politicians.

This misleading ad was in last week's Lincoln County News. To save absentee voting, Mainers need to vote No on 1! Question 1 would make it harder for many people to get absentee ballots.
