I did not understand this: one of the five Europeans the US has barred from traveling to the United States...is a permanent resident who lives with his family in the US.

Now he is worried about being arrested and deported for the crime of monitoring online hate.

It’s resolution season and if one of your goals for 2026 is becoming more engaged in your community and doing more to save democracy, it might be time to connect with your local organizers: indivisible.org/groups

Robert Reich's observations about Walgreens are all pertinent and grounds for boycotting the chain. Here's another reason: The store sucks. Spotty inventory. Understaffed. Auto-checkout doesn't work. No thanks.
After buying it for $18.8 billion, Walgreens' new private equity owner has eliminated paid holidays for all hourly workers on Christmas and New Year's.

Last year, Walgreens had a CEO-to-Worker pay gap of 410 to 1.

Corporate greed that would make even Scrooge blush.

NEW: Ohio has just restricted mail voting, banning the so-called 'grace period' that allows mail ballots to come in the day after Election Day as long as they've been postmarked in time.

This is likely to lead to thousands of Dem-leaning ballots to be rejected.

Ohio is following Trump's demands.
Ohio Bans Grace Periods for Mail Ballots, Fulfilling Trump’s Wishes - Bolts
Ohio is the fourth GOP-run state this year to ban ballots that are postmarked by Election Day but arrive after. A Supreme Court case could force that policy nationwide next year.

I would love to be assigned something on the show for season two, especially because there are not that many culture reporters of Asian descent.
An interesting thing about reading all the Heated Rivalry press like I did with Crazy Rich Asians is seeing the differences in profiles and features. It's apparent which ones clearly understand the cultural impact, demand for romance, and lightning-in-a-bottle moment, while others fall short.
