先日東京製鉄による100%スクラップ鉄を使用する低排出電炉鋼材の採用が報道されたトヨタが、同時にJFEや神戸製鋼所から、帳簿上の削減割り当てによる「マスバランス方式」鋼材も採用することが明らかになりました。

この手法では実際の製品生産からの排出削減でなく、他工程での削減実績を割り当てて「低排出」とすることが可能になります。

Today is the 60th(!) anniversary of the first public report on the dangers of fossil fuel pollution.
