Welp, now on to the mind-boggling stupidity.

This is such a weird post, I can't even work out why they're so instantly angry.

A banned dog breed. Which banned dog breed? Who did the "banning"? Earth? Are these Martian dogs? Why isn't your first thought that these people are clearly lying to you?

The juxtaposition of the first and last sentence of this paragraph is art
"For this movie to make any sense at all, one has to believe the United States, today, right now, is a fascist dictatorship, wrote David Marcus at Fox News, under a headline that dubbed the film an "ill-timed apologia for left-wing violence." He continued, "That is not only a dangerous fallacy but, as we have found out recently, a deadly one ... The whole movie made me a little angry, but then I remembered that the Trump administration is cracking down on Antifa - today's very real domestic terrorists - and maybe this will be a fun movie for them to watch once they are all in jail."

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

You're right, it's best we never had him as PM.

How come major film studios keep being like Jared Leto may have allegations, but at least he looks weird, stars in box office bombs, and is not a good actor

Went to see The Smashing Machine tonight; still can’t stop myself mentally adding “Gromit” to the end of the title

"No, Nicole Kidman, you cannot sit on my face for a third time today" is something you'd simply never hear me say

It certainly isn't! Play Oxenfree! Immediately!!

Ah, I got one that was definitely hopeful and quite uplifting, iirc. But don't ask me what it actually involved because it was so long ago now. I just remember the vibes.

I replayed Grim Fandango a year or two ago (the remastered version) and it's just pure joy, isn't it?

When I finally get my Steam deck (or knock-off thereof), I'm loading so many of these on there.

Lost Crown and obvious labour of love by a slightly annoying nerd, but it's good spooky fun especially if you're fond of MR James.
mrmoth.bsky.social
Also maybe I got a different ending but I didn't find Oxenfree a downer!
mrmoth.bsky.social
God I love Oxenfree (and to a lesser extent its sequel). And Hob's Barrow, so I have calibrated your recommendations on that basis!

Have you played The Lost Crown?
