Although I’m grateful the NDAA included a provision federally recognizing the Lumbee Tribe, a measure I’ve long supported, I voted no because it falls short for our servicemembers, prioritizes Trump’s partisan militarized agenda, & gives ICE and CBP access to DoD resources at the southern border.

North Carolina should be expanding access to health care, not restricting it. We can solve this on a bipartisan basis. The legislature needs to come back and fully fund Medicaid.
