Shout out to my most bizarre Black Friday customer interaction back in 2011. Dude came in and did a return at like 00:30. Like had to wait in line for hours to get in when he did. (Most) Maine stores can't legally open on Thanksgiving & our usual open was 6 or 7am. Said he didn't know it was Black

This is wonderful news, and also means it’s time for me to beat the drum I always do when HPV vaccines make the news:

They are not only for women! HPV also causes penile, anal, and head and neck cancers. The latter are particularly deadly. Please vaccinate ALL your children.
Australia recorded ZERO cases of cervical cancer in women under 25 for the first time since they started tracking the cancer in the 80s.

This is the power of vaccines.

The HPV vaccine is extremely effective at preventing cancer.

Viruses can be oncogenic. Get your vaccines and protect yourself!
newsGP - Australia set for world-first cervical cancer elimination
Vaccination programs have played a key role, and GPs remain ‘instrumental’ in boosting screening rates to reach the 2035 target.

My body is all confused and it feels weird to be on social media too
I'm so used to only having Friday night off that I almost lit Shabbas candles tonight because I have the night off

You know the song The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia? Why tf didn't Andy just call the police? Who in their right mind sees the man sleeping with you wife dead on the floor and fires a gun to get the police to come?

The team at @prismreports.org is consistently running such amazing work from Gazan writers. This is a great read on art persisting through horror.
Gaza still sings, draws, and dreams

Did I say Soon? I meant Friday (11/21)

Go pre-order my new album, The Nothing Machine, and listen to the title track today! (Will likely upload it as a single to streaming at some point today)

Zohran Mamdani doesn’t make me, an American Jew, feel unsafe.

Having the Coast Guard, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, decide that a swastika isn’t really a symbol of hate? That makes me, an American Jew, feel pretty damn unsafe.

This Transgender Day of Remembrance, let us remember that the fight for Trans Rights is not Trans people’s alone.

If Trans people’s identity and humanity can be denied, so can yours.

None of us are truly free until we are all free.

Two guys at work are enjoying teaching me Spanish but I think one had a bad day because his word of the day was 'I'm screwed'. Very different vibe from yesterday's 'rolling newspaper'

First off, my suspension has ended. Got a little harsh with a post a few days ago but I didn’t have my feet on the ground and I’m sorry if I offended anyone. Will try to be more chipper. Knock on wood!

don't reskeet book excerpts from terrible people, even to dunk on them or to hate-read.

You give prestige magazines clicks, and you encourage them to do this crap more.

Why, it's almost like having rich people paying their fare share is good for everyone!
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:

I really hate being so tired all the time. And I know it's because of my job. And I'm trapped in this job for the foreseeable future but it also pays fairly well.

I just get only 1 day off a week which leaves me with so little energy and so little time to do what I need let alone what I want.
