What to do if you sight ICE? 🚨 Call the PIRC hotline, which has trained validation and followup volunteers.

Put the number in your phone: PIRC 1-888-622-1510. And as Councilor Avalos reminds us, share CLEAR information about your sighting: (Count, Location, equipment, activity and Report time.)

We keep each other safe. If you see ICE or if you know someone who’s been detained, call the PIRC hotline:
1-888-622-1510.

Make sure you’re using the CLEAR model (Count, Location, Equipment, Activity, and Report Time) when you call.
Call the hotline. As always, ensure you have the PIRC hotline number saved and be prepared to call us as soon as possible if your loved one is detained, ICE has stopped you or is at your door, or you witness an ICE detention. Please call the hotline, rather than messaging us on social media, or emailing us, as the hotline is where we answer most quickly. Enroll in ECO. If you are not already enrolled in the Equity Corps or Oregon program to receive free legal services, call 1-888-274-7292 (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm). Complete a family emergency plan in case of detention (visit PIRC’s website). Take care to follow all traffic laws. Unfortunately, ICE sometimes uses minor violations to pull people over.

Next Wednesday. The Supreme Court hears oral arguments. Will communities of color have meaningful representation in government? The Voting Rights Act & our right to a free, fair, and representative democracy hang in the balance. Participate live or online: www.supremecourt.gov/oral_argumen...

Oh that this were true. There are too many people suffering in inhumane detention camps to agree. They are simply awful.

Thank you Senator.

They’re using American tax dollars to fund infrastructure in Argentina because that’s where they’re all going to flee when we kick them out of office

After announcing a $20 billion bailout of Argentina, the White House now says it's pausing $18 billion in funding for NYC infrastructure projects

Russ Vought would love nothing more than to tear this country down to its studs

Taken just a few minutes ago outside the ICE facility in Portland that Trump claims is under siege. My message to Donald Trump is this: we don’t need you here. Stay the hell out of our city.

“We will fight back against these criminal policies.”

Call your representatives to thank them for standing up and standing out! They need to know we support them.

On Thursday I visited the ICE facility in Portland with colleagues in the Oregon delegation.

Be safe out there people.

There are credible reports that federal agents may be replaying the 2020 playbook and surging into Portland with the goal of provoking conflict and violence in my hometown. I am in close contact with state and local officials to monitor this activity.

🚨 HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

For the next month, we're doing an experiment: live-streaming as a core campaign strategy.

Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, I'll be streaming with guests, games, and (of course) my cat, Heater. And if this works, we'll keep doing it.

Join us tomorrow, 7 PM CT.

HD52 spans 4 counties: Multnomah, Clackamas, Hood River and Wasco County. It takes patience and stick-to-itiveness to organize canvassers and volunteers and to listen to differences across regions. ##

every two years, so we'll be working to defend all of our seats, especially in East County where get out the vote efforts are super important. And here's something we can all get behind: Nick Walden Poublon @nwpinpdx.bsky.social is running to represent HD52. Talk about a hard working guy! /3

Christina Stephenson has filed to run for Labor Commissioner. About half of the state Senate seats in Oregon are up for re-election, but we haven't heard of anything surprising for Multnomah County related representation. When it comes to the Oregon House, every position is up for election /2

Filing is underway for candidates running for state and federal office in Oregon. @jeff-merkley.bsky.social, @repdexteror.bsky.social, @bynum.house.gov and @repbonamici.bsky.social are all running for re-election to federal office. No surprises there. 🧵
