This makes sense. One way to combat anxiety is to reset the system. It's why breathing helps. This is more of a shock to the system in that it distracted your brain long enough for the panic to calm.

I need to stop absent mindingly scrolling Facebook. But other social media feels so much more exhausting. I'm genuinely not sure if social media can be what it once was without a lot of changes. It feels so much harder to develop friendships online to me. Though that could be my anxiety with it.

My biggest takeaway from this is there were people who tried to say things like “Gamergate has some points” and it’s them who I hope sees this and feels a burden for having said that.
First two are now I looked when I was misgendered, next two are now I looked when I was gendered correctly. Like, wild. Truly.
