It is a little weird to me countries aren’t more aggressively, formally trying to take advantage of the U.S. science brain drain. Once in a lifetime opportunity to buy low on Non-Dumbass Americans with PhDs who just wanna look into microscopes and quietly cure ass cancer as our country eats shit.

I'm glad people can focus on the positives, but if you've had a shit year; you're not alone.
I became a US citizen; then lost my job. I watched friends lose their livelihoods & so much work being scrapped. And now, my dad is going thru cancer treatment (stage 3 lung) & I can't do shit about it

sitting in a waiting room this morning while my partner had a 6 hour long cancer removal surgery when I saw the news that the insurance CEO was shot. Im paying out of pocket because the best alternative for us is partial coverage @ 1000 a month with a 15000 deductible. Anyway heres a unrelated comic

2024 currently has more known games industry layoffs than 2023+2022 combined.
2024 is roughly 600 layoffs away from doubling 2023. There is still plenty of business days left in the month.
I can't emphasize enough how extreme these last few years have been.
