Schumer tells me Republicans might try to jam Democrats again in September, but thinks Trump will be less popular then and Republican appropriators might be more willing to stand up to him. He said they refused to do so now.

I maxed out my credit card, emptied my savings account, and took out a loan to move from Alabama to Bethesda, MD. I don’t even qualify for unemployment since I’ve only worked at NIH for a month. I will be financially and medically devastated.

Personally, I think Jesse Singal should be banned from Bluesky for his own protection.
Personally I think it’s a rather bizarre choice, both ethically and from a business perspective, to not only allow notorious harasser Jesse Singal to stay on the site, but to actively protect him in ways that aren’t afforded to more vulnerable users in the process.
