345 million Americans watched the live finale of the long running (273 years) series “American Democracy.”

This topples the existing record held for 41 years by the series finale of “M*A*S*H” which 105 million people watched in 1983.

The new record is expected to stand forever.

trump border czar uses NBC to announce killings will continue until morale improves
Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

Youngling has never heard of "Television Without Pity." Such a pity.

I believe the woman who wrote about "The X-Files" was called Amber? She was incredible.
If we’d had the INTERNET internet back then, that kiss would have taken it down.

All promised after January 6, 2021 to stop funding lawmakers who tried to overturn the 2020 election.

And all have broken that promise.

So Capitol Police officers were assaulted and injured on Jan 6th, the White House today is blaming them for the violence, and the people who attacked them have been pardoned and are back to mock and abuse them on the 5th anniversary.

And the GOP is the party of the police? Really? REALLY??

What some Republican lawmakers will not allow you to see: “On behalf of a grateful Congress, this plaque honors the extraordinary individuals who bravely protected and defended this symbol of democracy on Jan. 6, 2021. Their heroism will never be forgotten.”
This Jan. 6 plaque was made to honor law enforcement. It's nowhere to be found at the Capitol
Approaching the fifth anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, the official plaque honoring the police who defended democracy is nowhere to be found.

Imagine looking at the period after WWII and especially after the Cold War as an era of American weakness.

Unless, I suppose, if becoming the strongest, wealthiest country in history sounds bad to you because some brown people were a part oft, and you'd rather be weaker if it means being whiter.

kind of darkly funny that "gender studies" is the stereotypical "useless degree" because gender studies will help you understand a large and important chunk of the current psychosis in american life

Nice subtextual reveal. But the real revelation in this article is that both of Guilfoyle’s parents are immigrants (one from Puerto Rico, one from Ireland).

Dear World:

We are being held hostage by a megalomaniac madman, his numerous enablers & wealthy puppet masters.

Please know that the majority of Americans do NOT support what he is doing, either in our country or yours. But we have no legal means right now to get rid of him. We hope to soon.

Nineteen states are set to raise their minimum wage in 2026, boosting pay for millions of workers spanning from Arizona to New Jersey.

Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress have blocked an increase in the federal minimum wage since 2009 - it's still stuck at a paltry $7.15 per hour.
