There was, of course, absolutely nothing to stop these Tories resigning when their own Party was literally in the middle of doing all the things they now claim to be so unhappy about.

Here is J.D. Vance's rationale for seizing Maduro. He says Trump "was very clear throughout this process: the drug trafficking must stop, and the stolen oil must be returned to the United States." Very interesting, since the indictment says nothing whatever about oil, stolen or otherwise. /1

Yes, this is a war for oil, Exxon & other U.S. oil corps are direct beneficiaries. Like all wars for oil, there are other objectives as well, with regime change in Cuba certainly high on the Trump administration's list, accomplished via cutting off oil flows (and the money from their sales) from VZ.

Chatted to my great uncle yesterday – a northern, working-class guy, not that political. I told him my job involved exposing Farage.

His first question was: “who funds him?”

Even by my low expectations for Kemi Badenoch ‘violence against women and girls is something done by immigrants and nobody else’ has shocked me.
Dog-whistle and factually incorrect. Ladies, raise your hand if you were sexually assaulted by a boy at school? I’d wager this or a family member is most women’s first experience of sexual violence
