Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead.

I've gravitated, as player and designer, toward the latter, but that term "pre-digested" is new and feels very strong.

I’ve been following the current Asadora about Lafcadio Hearn.

The past week had the heroine thinking she was entering into a concubine 妾 めかけ relationship with Hearn character called ヘブン as NHK never uses the actual names.

Oof. Here's a tough one. "それぞれに“年の花”がある."
That “年の花” is holding me back. The context is a young man acted with his grandfather and father, all very accomplished performers, and this was his takeaway.
I have a vague sense of like "each was good in his own way/level of experience" but lack the words.

Coincidentally, since 2023 the quality of content translated *into* non English languages has gone straight down the fucking toilet. I wonder if the two are related somehow.
Since 2023, translators and interpreters have seen work dry up, rates plummet and their jobs reduced to editing AI-generated output. Some are leaving the field, others are considering bankruptcy. All despite any major upgrade in translation quality.

This is how AI is killing translation work:
AI Killed My Job: Translators
Few industries have been hit by AI as hard as translation. Rates are plummeting. Work is drying up. Translators are considering abandoning the field, or bankruptcy. These are their stories.
